The ReNEW Kick-off took place in Brussels on 26 & 27 October, with more than 50 participants meeting for the first time in person.
During the next 3 years, the 24 ReNEW partners from 11 countries will work towards resilience-centric smart, green and networked EU inland waterways.
To achieve this, the project will build on previous results, capitalise on cooperation opportunities with ongoing projects and initiatives and will deliver:
i) An interdisciplinary IWT Resilience and Sustainability decision-support framework.
ii) Targeted innovative infrastructure resilience and sustainability solutions.
iii) A Green Resilient IWT Dataspace and generic Digital Twin.
iv) Four Living Labs, including Ghent and Douro waterways.
