ReNEW General Assembly 2023

From 5 to 6 December 2023, the ReNEW project held its third General Assembly in Duisburg, Germany. The two-day meeting was hosted at DST, a research institute is well-known for its expertise in the areas of inland and coastal shipping and transport systems. The partners had the opportunity to visit its impressive facilities, including the 360° vessel simulator and 200m long basin for inland waterway research.

The first day focused on the progress within ReNEW’s four Living Labs and general project updates. Each Living Lab leader presented the advancements made, highlighting tangible outcomes resulting from collaborative efforts. The Living Labs, serving as a crucible for experimentation, validation, and solution refinement, play a pivotal role in transforming inland waterways transport. This transformative process is progressing towards conclusive demonstrations.

The second day delved into enriching workshops. The partners worked together on delivering key messages for ReNEW in the communications workshop delivered by Magellan. The second workshop, on gender equality, addressed key topics such as the EU guidelines for gender equality in Horizon Europe programme, and the Gender Equality Plans, delivered by CiaoTech – PNO.

Throughout these two days, consortium partners engaged in lively discussions, shared valuable insights, and fostered collaboration on ongoing projects.

ReNEW continues sailing towards resilient, smart, and sustainable transportation solutions. Subscribe our newsletter to never miss an update from the project.
